YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Wednesday Nights | Free Dinner @ 7:00 p.m. | Service @ 7:30 p.m. | Woodstock City Church

Every week at The Living Room, college-age adults gather to share a meal, worship together, hear a relevant message, and have honest conversations about life and faith.

We are about a 10 minute drive from Kennesaw State University and other local campuses, and our college ministry exists to be a home away from home for students. We meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. at Woodstock City Church.

SEMESTER AT A GLANCE

When and where does TLR meet?

The Living Room meets on most Wednesdays during the school year at Woodstock City Church. Dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. and service starts at 7:30 p.m. Make sure to check our calendar before attending.

If you are new, we are so excited you are going to join us! We have a First-Time Guest table right outside the main doors. Our Host Team will be there to greet you, explain how TLR works, show you around, and give you a free gift!

Do you serve dinner?

YES! We always serve free dinner at 7:00 p.m. on the Wednesdays we meet! First come, first served!

Can I find community at TLR?

You know it! Every August we launch small groups to help you find community. Each spring we offer pop-up and short-term groups as well. Check out this page for more information.

Do you meet over the summer?

With everyone home for summer break, we take summers off.

But you and your group might decide to keep meeting or have a few social gatherings instead.

TLR will host social gatherings over the summer until we start meeting regularly again. Follow us on Instagram to stay in the know about those!

Could I get baptized at TLR?

Absolutely! At the end of every semester, we host a baptism night to celebrate the life change a student has experienced because of Jesus. We call these our Home Nights.

Students share their stories while friends, family, and their whole TLR family celebrate their public expression of faith.

Check out this baptism page on when the next one is!

Do I have to be a student to attend TLR?

The Living Room is a college-age ministry. If you are between the ages of 18 and 25, we would love to have you, whether you are enrolled in college or not.

How can I stay up-to-date on all things TLR?

The best way to know what is going on is Instagram.

What serving opportunities are within TLR?

If you are college-age, we would love for you to join the Host Team. If you are an adult, you can serve as a Small Group Leader. You can learn more about both of those here

We also have other serving opportunities within our church on Sunday mornings, in our community, and around the globe.

Each fall, we have TLR Serve Day, where we serve together as a college ministry.

What does The Living Room believe?

  • About the Scriptures: We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
  • About God: We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
  • About Humanity: We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
  • About Salvation: We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
  • About the Christian Life: We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
  • About the Church: We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
Do you have emotional health resources?

Yes. We have care resources available for you.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to a TLR staff member. We are here for you!

Does TLR have a job board?

We have a TLR Directory that shows volunteer opportunities, a handful of trusted organizations for potential job options, and some local coupons just for you.

Do you have any other TLR locations?

Yes! The Living Room also meets at Buckhead Church on Monday nights and Browns Bridge Church on Wednesday nights. Check them out!

I have more questions. Who can I contact?

We would love to talk to you! You can reach out to anyone on the TLR Team!
