Helping Students Discover a Faith Of Their Own

Small Group Leader

Each Small Group Leader is key in shaping the spiritual and social bonds that connect middle school students. Ideally, two adults and a high schooler lead each group to build trusted relationships, celebrate spiritual growth, and help students discover and pursue a faith of their own. These friendships extend beyond Sunday mornings. Through events, group outings, and frequent communication, Small Group Leaders and students form an intimate community where trust is central. The small group experience is the cornerstone of our middle school ministry!

Guest Services

Every Guest Services volunteer feels the importance of helping students and families become raving fans of Transit. By creating a safe and welcoming environment, our volunteers help calm nervous students and reassure hesitant parents. Our Guest Services team also assists our Small Group Leaders by gathering the vital data they need to maintain strong relational connections with their students. By serving on Guest Services, you will help students discover and pursue a faith of their own.

Production

Production volunteers play a key role in shaping the impression students have about church, faith, and their heavenly Father. This invaluable group of volunteers helps pull off an unforgettable large group experience so students discover and pursue a faith of their own. Each week’s Bottom Line is communicated through hosting, games, music, video elements, and a message—all with the goal of setting up students and leaders to have great discussions in their small groups.

Special Needs

Our Special Needs volunteers come alongside middle school students with their unique needs in mind by helping them experience Transit. Some may serve as Shadows by tracking through large group and small group with students who have minimal needs. Others serve as Room Leaders by assisting students with individualized care. In this role, some volunteers and students will participate in the program via video in our special needs room, while others travel to large group together. Our amazing Special Needs volunteers ensure each student is given the opportunity through Transit to discover and pursue a faith of their own.
