When faced with something that scares us, something that’s difficult, something uncomfortable or even unfamiliar, the human tendency is to back down, close the door, and walk away. How do you cultivate more courage in your life?
While the Greek word “ekklesia” is mistranslated as “church” in many Bibles, the word means “group” or “gathering.” Christianity has always been a movement, with local groups of people living out the same approach and posture of Jesus.
What does courage look like? What might your comfort be costing you? What could God do through you on the other side of one courageous step?
Being courageous takes us into uncharted territory. And in some cases, it forces us to take our hands off the steering wheel. Maybe God has more for you on the other side of what you fear the most.
